Everyone familiar with Pitango knows that our gelato and sorbet is unrivaled because we make it with simple, fresh ingredients.  We’ve been making gelato and sorbet since 2007 and control every step of the process from making the base at our production facility to churning the gelato on site at each gelato shop to ensure the highest quality. We carefully select the best ingredients, from Organic milk to single origin chocolate. And we never use any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives in our gelatos and sorbets. Financials and Operating Costs:

A Pitango Gelato franchise involves the following costs:

  • Size: 800 – 1,500 square feet 

  • Build out ranges from $384,350 – 701,800 

  • Franchise Fee: $35,000 

  • Multi-Unit Development Opportunity: 

  • $35,000 for the first unit (due at signing) 

  • $25,000 for each additional unit ($15,000 deposit due at signing) 

  • Royalty: 5% 

  • Brand Building Fund: 1.5% 

In order to be considered you must have a strong credit history, a minimum net worth of $750,000, $300,000 in liquidity, an affinity for business and experience in the food sector.

Our franchise program is meticulously designed to ensure that every franchisee is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to create and serve our premium gelato. From the moment you join the Pitango family, you’re not just opening a business – you’re becoming part of a community dedicated to excellence. 

Initial Training: A Comprehensive Introduction 

Our initial training program is a deep dive into the heart of Pitango Gelato. It runs for 21 days and covers every aspect of running a successful gelato store, including: 

  • Gelato Craftsmanship: Learn the art of making our signature gelato with hands-on sessions led by our experienced operations team. 

  • Coffee Training: Learn the art of making delicious espresso drinks from steaming milk to pulling the perfect shot.  

  • Operational Excellence: Get acquainted with the daily operations of a Pitango store, from inventory management to customer service protocols. Our training ensures you’re ready to manage your store efficiently from day one. 

  • Marketing and Sales: Understand the strategies that drive our brand's success. We provide tools and techniques to help you attract and retain customers, boost sales, and build a strong local presence. 

Ongoing Support: Ensuring Long-Term Success

Beyond the initial training, Pitango Gelato is committed to your ongoing success. Our ongoing support includes:

  • Initial Opening: Our team will be on site at your store for the three days before you open and three days after you open to make sure your store is running smoothly, your team is well trained and your product is made correctly. 

  • Continuous Assistance: Access our dedicated support team for ongoing guidance, troubleshooting, and advice. We’re here to help you navigate challenges and seize opportunities. 

  • Community and Networking: Join our network of franchisees and benefit from shared experiences, collaborative opportunities, and peer support
