Step into a hands-on floral design experience exploring the intersection of modern technique and whimsical expression. Modern Whimsy is a masterclass designed for both emerging and experienced designers who want to refine their eye, expand their mechanics, and build more intentional, sculptural work.

In this class, we’ll move beyond traditional arranging and into a more contemporary design language. One where negative space, movement, and texture lead the composition. You’ll learn how modern floral techniques can support a more playful, organic aesthetic without losing structure or clarity.

Throughout the session, we’ll cover:

• Contemporary floral design principles and composition thinking

• How to integrate whimsical elements in a refined, intentional way

• Flower selection strategy (and why certain blooms create “air” and movement)

• Building in space: techniques for lightness, layering, and depth

• Sculptural form and asymmetry as a design tool

• Mechanics that support modern, garden-inspired arrangements

Guests will design their own arrangement from start to finish with guided instruction and individual feedback throughout.
